At Sunny Hill Festival, we believe in positively impacting the environment. Our commitment to sustainability moves us to integrate green initiatives into every aspect of our event.
We have decided to relocate from Germia, allowing it to return to its natural, serene state. This change marks the beginning of a new chapter in our sustainability journey, where we strive to minimize our ecological footprint and enhance the natural beauty of our surroundings.
To raise awareness and amplify natural habitats, we are dedicated to giving the citizens of Pristina a greener urban space, by establishing Sunny Hill Park.
The new park in the city will be available to the public throughout most of the year where they can enjoy a green getaway from the daily pollution. In the meantime, Sunny Hill Park will also contribute to increasing the green corridors of Prishtina and indirectly help to mitigate climate change.
So far we have planted 700 new trees, aiming for a total of 2,200 trees, transforming the park into a lush and vibrant sanctuary. This initiative will not only help to improve air quality but also provide a haven for local wildlife and a peaceful retreat for the community.
Our vision for the future is one where festivals are not just celebrations, but also catalysts for environmental change. We are committed to organizing eco-friendly events that inspire and educate our attendees about the importance of sustainability.
From reducing waste to promoting recycling and responsible consumption, every aspect of Sunny Hill Festival is designed with the environment in mind. An effort for the common good needs the partaking of all its participants. We hope to encounter your good will, so that together we make Kosova greener!
The “Change for Climate” initiative/platform and USAID Kosovo Adapt Activity will support this year’s edition of the biggest music festival in the Kosovo, Sunny Hill Festival. During the four days, we will work together with the festival to raise awareness among young people about climate change, encouraging them to change their behavior for the betterment of the environment.
Through this cooperation, it is intended to raise awareness among festival goers, to leave as little waste as possible, encourage recycling and increase awareness of responsible consumption.
Also, following green practices, the Sunny Hill Festival, this year has reached a partnership with Taxi Tesla to offer driving without leaving a carbon footprint in the environment, while for many years the festival sells tickets only online, without tickets physical. These are just some of the initiatives, and the Sunny Hill festival has many new plans for positive changes in the environment.
